Larnes main ground is Sandy Bay which is located at Bay Park in the harbour area of the town. This is where practices take place and where the 1sts and 2nds play their home matches. With some decent sunshine Sandy Bay is a glorious place to play and watch cricket but visiting players should be aware that a bracing northerly wind is a possibility and ensure that a sweater is always in the kit bag. With its sand base, the ground is exceptionally quick drying which has proved invaluable in recent years. The square is maintained by Esler Burke, Jonny Baxter and Michael Walker. The 3rds play their home matches at Larne Rugby Club which is in the Glynn village just south of Larne on the road to Carrick. A newly laid artificial wicket usually yields plenty of runs over the fine outfield which is maintained by Ronnie Lough.
