Larne Cricket Club was founded in 1939 and currently fields three Senior teams and three Junior Teams (Colts, under 15s and under 13s) in the Northern Cricket Union of Ireland. The First XI are currently playing in Division One, Section Two of NCU and will be captained in 2010 by Gareth Gaw with Jonathan King as his vice-captain. The Second XI play in Division 2, Section 2 and will be captained again in 2010 by Gary Moore with Michael Lyle stepping up from from the Thirds to be his deputy. The evergreen Esler Burke will take charge of the Third XI as they compete in Division 3 Section 3 in the 2010 season. During the summer months practice for all club members will take place every Tuesday night at Sandy Bay starting at 6.30, with coaching available for junior members. There will also be practice for seniors club members every Thursday night. |
